Final Exam Scheduled

The Registrar's Office has scheduled our final exam for Tuesday, December 16th from 10:30 am -12:30 pm in Hayes-Healy 229.

No homework over Thanksgiving break -- enjoy your holiday!

Homework due Tuesday, November 25th: Section 4.5 (4, 10, 15, 16)

Homework due Monday, November 24th: Section 4.4 (4, 6, 9, 10, 30)

My extra office hours before the next exam will be Monday from 4-5 pm and Tuesday from 1:45-3:oo pm and 6-7:30 pm (as well as by appointment).

The review materials for Exam 3 are now posted on the course website, www.nd.edu/~shoehn/math10240 .

Homework due Tuesday, November 18th: Section 4.1 (3, 12, 21, 32, 40)

Homework due Friday, November 14th: Section 3.7 (2, 4, 6, 14, 24, 27)

Homework due Monday, November 17th: Section 4.1 (2, 4, 6, 8, 28, 30). For problems 2, 4, 6, and 8, just find all of the critical points and use the derivative to determine where the function is increasing/decreasing. Do not worry about finding local max's and min's.

The quiz on Friday will cover only the chain rule.

Exam 3 (on Wednesday, November 19th) will cover Chapter 3 and Section 4.1.

Homework due Wednesday, November 12th: Section 3.7 sheet distributed in class

Homework due Tuesday, November 11th: Section 3.6 (8, 10, 14, 15, 16, 26, 31)

Also, there will be a quiz on the product rule and the quotient rule Tuesday in class. Everyone will be expected to take this quiz.
