The final exam for our course will be from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm on Tuesday, December 16th in Hayes-Healy 229 (our normal classroom on Tuesdays). The exam is cumulative, although around 40% of the final will cover material that has been covered since the last exam.
I will hold a review session for the final in my office (Hurley 283) at 6:30 pm on Sunday night. I will also have office hours from 3:30 -5:30 pm on Monday. I will be happy to answer any questions you have at either time (or by appointment).

Homework due Friday, November 14th: Section 3.7 (2, 4, 6, 14, 24, 27)
Homework due Monday, November 17th: Section 4.1 (2, 4, 6, 8, 28, 30). For problems 2, 4, 6, and 8, just find all of the critical points and use the derivative to determine where the function is increasing/decreasing. Do not worry about finding local max's and min's.
The quiz on Friday will cover only the chain rule.
Exam 3 (on Wednesday, November 19th) will cover Chapter 3 and Section 4.1.
